A concrete block grinding unit, also known as a concrete masonry grinder, is a machine used in concrete product factories to grind cured concrete products to an exact height, with a differentiation of 0.1–0.3 mm.
Initial planning phase
The project began in winter 2023 with engineering planning to assess whether the installation of the concrete block grinding unit was feasible. The unit needed to fit in a specific location while synchronizing with existing machinery and accommodating space limitations. After verifying the unit’s functionality and establishing a lead time for the entire project, we reached an agreement and proceeded with the project.
Manufacturing phase
Whole project consisted three major steps, the concrete block grinding unit was manufactured and delivered by Kasins Oy, Automation software was made in cooperation with our long time partner Top automation Oy, and product lift units and other needed structures to guarantee work safety and efficiency was made by Mecmetal Oy. The whole group worked in collaboration and information was exchanged openly. Each party worked synchronized, and timelines were executed as planned. After successful manufacturing and testing, the complete unit was ready for dispatch.
Installation and commissioning phase
Two weeks after installation began, commissioning and staff training were completed, and the grinding line was handed over to the customer within the agreed timeline and production capabilities.
